Hi, I’m Dan Sturtz

Certified Wildfire Mitigation Specialist dedicated to reducing risk in Colorado’s wildland-urban interface. Originally trained as a designer, discovered a deeper calling in firefighting, community service, and proactive risk reduction, bringing both technical insight and field experience to protecting people, homes, and landscapes. Work focuses on applying wildfire mitigation best practices, including defensible space planning, fuel reduction, and public engagement, to help communities become safer, more resilient, and better prepared for wildfire.
